Our Story
Swiss Premier Hotels has roots in the long established company Hotels of Switzerland. After the passing of the patriarch Werner Suter, HOS closed in December 2019. In January 2020 Swiss Premier Hotels was born under the leadership of Marius Karrer. Offering the same services and attention to detail that garnered HOS an upstanding reputation in the MICE industry.
Meet the Owner
Marius was “bitten” by the travel bug at an early age when his parents introduced him to it as an infant (being born in Peru). So when the time came to choose a profession, there was no question which direction to head. After working at the local tourist office in his parents home town, he started with Switzerland Tourism in Zurich and lived in Spain, England, Germany and Belgium before coming to the United States. He was introduced to the MICE Market in 1993 when he was transferred from New York to Chicago. His passion for this specific and fascinating travel sector continued when he joined Hotels of Switzerland in 1995 until it’s closure in 2019. Marius drew from his knowledge and experience and Swiss Premier Hotels was born in January 2020. He is always going the extra mile to make each and every program unique, successful and unforgettable for participants that have worked hard to relax in and experience beautiful Switzerland.
