Nestled in four acres of gardens on the shores of Lake Geneva and with a view of the Alps, the Beau-Rivage Palace enjoys an exceptional location, but is nevertheless just ten minutes from the city centre, in the Ouchy harbour district.  Since opening its doors in 1861 the Beau-Rivage Palace has welcomed many illustrious guests. Accomodations

Of the 168 rooms (max. 120 pax for groups) there are five types – superior city view, lake view with balcony, deluxe, junior suites, and deluxe suites.  Most rooms have been refurbished in 2012 and have a jacuzzi, free internet access, a wide choice of pillows on request, complimentary products from Bulgari.  The deluxe suites are impressive and individually designed with utmost of luxury and refinement.

Meeting Rooms

The Beau-Rivage Palace provides a perfect setting for a memorable gathering.  Meeting space to accommodate up to 400 theatre style, cocktails for 600. One of the banquet rooms, the Salle Sandoz, was built in 1908 and many outstanding events have taken place here including celebrity weddings.  The terraces can also accommodate cocktail receptions or events as can the belle-epoque steamboat “Le Montreux”. The Olympic Museum is just a few steps away and an excellent venue for a an outstanding cocktail reception or dinner.

Dining

The Anne-Sophie Pic Restaurant – The Beau-Rivage Palace has placed Anne-Sophie Pic at the helm of the kitchens of its fine-dining restaurant. While continuing to preside over her restaurant in Valence (France), the three star Michelin chef has entrusted the realization of her creations to Kevin Gatin.  The Restaurant has been awarded two stars in the Michelin guide and 18/20 in the Gault Millau.

The Cafe Beau-Rivage – the menu varies according to the season, while offering its specials such as steak tartare or perch fillets meunière year round. Enjoy the relaxed and calming view from the beautiful terrace facing the lake.

The Miyako – The Miyako serves traditional Japanese cuisine with sushi and sashimi prepared to order. A contemporary setting opening onto a beautiful terrace facing the lake.

L’Accademia – Part of the Angleterre & Residence hotel partner, L’Accademia offers authentic Italian cuisineIn the warm and distinguished setting of the restaurant one can savour Italian classic dishes spiced with a hint of invention. A cuisine of character that is always prepared using fresh produce carefully selected by our Chef, impeccable service, and a fine selection of Italian wines; all the ingredients that make L’Accademia an unmissable place in Lausanne!

La Terrasse – With its glazed walls overlooking the natural surroundings, the panoramic view from the dining room where breakfasts are served is astonishing! The high-quality, varied buffet is a gourmet delight. Brunch has become the Sunday rendezvous for food lovers.  An extensive buffet of hot and cold dishes, inspired by the finest culinary traditions of all five continents. In the afternoons and evenings, La Terrasse is transformed into a function room.

O Terrasse – A gourmet break in the restaurant of the Cinq Mondes spa, a relaxing moment on the terrace, … the mellow pleasures of lounging beside the swimming pool facing the lake.

The Boat Montreux – A genuine floating restaurant, the Montreux is the oldest steamboat sailing on Lake Geneva (CGN). Gourmet cruises from 23rd of June to 5th of September 2015, dishes prepared by the chefs of the Beau-Rivage Palace. The rest of the year the Montreux hosts private receptions.

The Bar – A bar specializing in the art of the cocktail. Rare spirits and its own house creations. Bottles purchased can be kept in a designated cabinet, the ‘bottle keep’.  An extensive selection of cigars and a beautiful terrace heated for year-round use.

Lobby Lounge – Situated near the hotel entrance, the bar has one of the most beautiful terraces in Lausanne and welcomes non-resident guests for breakfast from 8.00 a.m.  A menu offers light dishes all day long and the first notes of live music coming from the grand piano fill the space from 6.00 p.m.

In winter, the terrace is transformed into anice rink to be enjoyed by all the family. Mulled wine, fondues and plates of local dried meats and cheeses can be enjoyed outdoors, in the comfort of armchairs and snug under fluffy blankets.The Wine Cellar – With a wine list of over 3000 wines and 75,000 bottles carefully stored and aged, the cellar of the Beau-Rivage Palace is indisputably one of the largest in Europe.  A host of treasures selected, stored and served by Head Sommelier Thibaut Panas, who was awarded Sommelier of the Year Switzerland by the prestigious Gault & Millau guide 2014.

The Cinq Mond Spa – The Best in Massage and Beauty Treatments

Jean-Louis Poiroux, Cinq Mondes’ founder has traveled the world for the last ten years to discover the most extensive range of beauty treatments and well-being traditional ceremonies to make the Cinq Mondes Spa one of the best in Europe.  The 15,000 square ft. spa is a haven for relaxation. There are eight treatment rooms, a private spa suite, a fitness center, two pools, jacuzzi, steam and sauna room and a tennis court.

Area Information

Arriving by air – half an hour from Geneva international airport, 2 hours from Zurich, and 3 hours 40 minutes by train from Paris, the Beau-Rivage Palace is ideally located and easily accessed by major European routes.

Arriving by train – The hotel is 10 minutes from the station. Take the M2 train bound for Ouchy, alight here and then walk left along the lakeside.
